Leonard didn’t set out to revolutionize the pet aftercare industry when he and his father purchased their first property in 1992. But just a year later Leonard’s father passed away, and Leonard came to realize the community’s need to care for and honor their pets. A new approach to pet cremation and the entire pet aftercare experience was born. Leonard created what became the country’s largest privately-owned pet cemetery and crematorium, and established the first funeral home for pets. The facility set the bar for the highest level of compassionate care.

Today, Leonard oversees Regency’s national expansion, championing thoughtful growth, welcoming quality partners into the family of aftercare providers, and most importantly, maintaining that same level of commitment and care that the company was founded upon.

Drawing upon 25 years of leadership roles in national and international service industries and a reputation for leading organizations to achieve recognitions including Federal OSHA VPP Star, Best Places to Work, and Fortune’s Most Admired Companies, Scott now serves Regency in their commitment to delivering superior quality, accuracy, reliability and compassionate care to families.

Scott is a veteran and proud pet parent to Jessie, a certified volunteer service animal.  Scott’s wife, Jennifer, and Jessie are a nationally-registered service team who deliver care in local communities, as well as actively support veteran and first responder programs.  Scott truly feels privileged to enjoy a career in an industry that honors pets, supports families and celebrates the impact pets have in our lives.

Leveraging nearly 20 years of operational leadership, strategic plan development & execution, and financial management experience in a variety of sectors, Gareth leads Regency’s total service delivery for veterinary partners and pet parents demanding premium memorialization and aftercare services. Gareth’s experience as a strategic and operational consultant and value-improvement advisor for private equity-backed and start-up companies has enabled him to scale the high-quality service model from legacy brands across the portfolio while also innovating with products, services and delivery solutions to best serve Regency’s customers. Gareth has served in senior operational leadership roles in public-traded, PE-backed, and non-profit companies, most recently leading a national hospitality and healthcare mobility services organization.

He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Morgan State University and an MBA from The Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University. Gareth, his wife, Lindsay, and their three children, Grace, Charis, and Hannah live in Maryland. He is an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoys reading, travelling, cooking, gardening, playing drums, mentoring, volunteering at church and family time.

An experienced Human Resources Executive, Evelyn has led and served with multiple corporations in a variety of service-driven industries, including Hospitality, Healthcare, Education, Health & Wellness and Retail.  Throughout her career, she has provided talent management leadership and support as a trusted business partner focused on growing and scaling businesses through people and culture.  Prior to Regency, Evelyn led HR for a national Health & Wellness organization, where she was responsible for total workforce planning, engagement, and human capital performance.

Evelyn’s passion for servant leadership and purpose in helping others realize their full potential are the focus of her approach in accelerating talent.  She’s a true thought-leader and influencer as demonstrated by her community giving, including non-for-profit Board leadership for Get IT Girl, an organization dedicated to helping women with STEM and IT leadership, serving as a LinkedIn Local host in South Florida, and highlighting the achievements and lessons of Women in Leadership through international interviews, podcasts, and documentaries.  In Evelyn’s words, “I believe in people, maximizing talent contributions, and the power of full engagement.  At Regency, we’re intentional with our approach as we grow through people and realize our purpose in serving families who need us.”

With more than 30 years of global marketing and business development experience, Alana’s knowledge and expertise compounded with an undeniable passion for pets and animal care, uniquely positions her as a trailblazer in the industry. Professional highlights and accomplishments include working for the Baltimore Orioles, The National Retina Institute, AOL, founding her own subscription box company, Senior Sleuths and producing various marketing campaigns for major brands such as Johnson & Johnson, Google, CBS, Walmart, Dewars and more.

Offering a diverse skill set and a proven track record for developing powerful brands, campaigns, digital programs and custom events, she leads Regency’s marketing strategy alongside her team to execute initiatives that position Regency as one of the most innovative emerging brands among the pet aftercare market.

Mike’s full throttle personality and sense of humor provides a cornerstone to his enjoyment of business and life – a mindset that he brings every day to his work at Regency. An MBA in Finance, invaluable experience gained over 30 years as an entrepreneur, and an ability to translate business challenges into system-wide solutions make Mike a strong leader and well-equipped to ensure the firm’s technology offers real-world solutions while keeping up with its continued growth.

His aspirational vision for the company’s future, as well as his inherent drive to provide superior customer satisfaction, inspire his team to give their all, and have fun doing it.

Chuck Berra

Chuck has over 20 years of animal health experience in Sales Senior leadership roles with world leader pharmaceutical organizations recognized as pioneers in the development of innovative products and solutions enhancing animals’ health in the national and international space. Most recently Chuck led the commercial sales division of Vetio Animal Health.  There he had responsibility for contract drug development sales globally to the major veterinary distributors, eCommerce and top 10 multi-national animal health companies.


Chuck has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri.  He also holds Master’s Degrees in Business Administration and Hospital Administration from Webster University, St. Louis. Chuck, his wife, Sarah, and three children, Carter, Kennedy and Charlie live in St. Louis, Missouri. Chuck enjoys boating, coaching youth sports and almost anything outdoors.

Mike brings to his role at Regency the invaluable experience gained from his involvement in over 20 acquisition/divestiture transactions exceeding $250 million in capital, as well as the financial prowess from his positions as CFO and CEO. He also successfully grew, operated and divested a pet after-care start up, an experience that lends a unique dual perspective to his leadership style.

Having been on both sides of the negotiating table, Mike is adept at recognizing potential opportunities, making insightful decisions and establishing partnerships with finesse, insight and fairness.

Regency’s commitment to transparency, quality of care, and absolute integrity are evident by their IAOPCC-Certified care centers in major markets across the United States.
